Initial reaction using the finger extension was very positive. Great jam-free functionality with controllable recoil. Easy to breakdown for cleaning. Perfect size / weight for a carry weapon. I quickly realized that as a daily carry, it requires wiping the slide regularly with an oily cloth to prevent surface rust. Ruger''s choice of a ferrous alloy slide instead of stainless is a big negative. If your considering it for carry, forget a belt holster and stick with a pouch that will keep it away from any exposure to perspiration or for that matter any moisture. I''ve now switched to a Smith & Wesson Bodyguard which has a stainless slide. Give it some thought before buying.

I bought the gun because of size and weight. I am a lady with small hands and not a lot of strength in my hands. Because I cannot easily release the slide lock, I will trade it in for something that I can handle. Other than that, the gun seemed to function great.

I really like how easy this pistol is to conceal. Pocket holster is easy draw. I pratice with this weapon on a regular basis. I live in a country setting, so its easy for me to be walking along and practice drawing and firing. The only thing I am not to happy about, is that it hurts my hand when I shoot. 3 rounds and my hand feels it. I am hoping to find some type of rubber finger grip that might help cushion. Overall, everyone needs one of these! Im thinking about buying another one. Im really not too worried about the hand problem, would rather have a hurt hand than serious bodily injury or death.
